— -- CHICAGO --  Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, who has been hampered by a hamstring injury, was active and started Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders, the team announced.

Cutler capped the Bears' first possession with a 7-yard pass to Eddie Royal. He threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to tight end  Martellus Bennett later in the first half.

The Bears had listed Cutler as questionable for Sunday with a strained hamstring, but the quarterback took the majority of practice reps this week over backup Jimmy Clausen.

Cutler did not appear bothered by the hamstring when he dropped back during warm-ups Sunday, throwing several different route combinations to his receivers. He did not run on the Soldier Field turf, however, during the 20-minute workout session.

Also, receiver Alshon Jeffery will not play, as he continues to be hampered by a hamstring injury. The former Pro Bowl receiver may return next week at Kansas City.
