Chip Kelly simulates motions with toy

— -- Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly is known for driving a high-powered offense.

Kelly has taken to driving remote control cars, too.

During the Eagles' rookie minicamp, Kelly used a a remote control vehicle to simulate pre-snap motion, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter confirmed. Coaches are not permitted on the field or to give verbal on-field instructions during Phase One of the NFL's offseason program.

Only strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation activities are allowed during this phase.

"I was sitting and waiting to go in and meet with (general manager Howie Roseman) and all the front office guys, and coach Kelly was driving around a little remote control car," defensive tackle Beau Allen, a seventh-round pick, told Philadelphia Magazine. "They use it out on the field because they can't do motions, and he drove it right into me and was like, 'Oh, hey Beau, how are you doing?' And I was like, 'Hey, coach.'"
