— -- The Miami Dolphins added two big-name free agents Tuesday, agreeing to contracts with offensive tackle Branden Albert and defensive tackle Earl Mitchell, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Albert, a Pro Bowler with the Kansas City Chiefs, and Miami agreed to a five-year, $46 million deal that includes $25 million guaranteed, according to sources.

Mitchell, who played for the Houston Texans the past four seasons, is expected to land a four-year, $16 million deal that includes $9 million guaranteed, sources said.

Albert, 29, was the Chiefs' first-round draft pick in 2008. He immediately was given the job as starting left tackle, but it took some time for him to develop into a reliable player.

Albert had the best season of his six-year NFL career in 2013, when he participated in his first Pro Bowl. He played last season on a one-year contract as Kansas City's franchise player, but it was obvious he didn't fit into the Chiefs' plans for the long term when they drafted tackle Eric Fisher with the first overall pick in 2013.

Mitchell, 26, became a full-time starter in 2013 after the offseason departure of former nose tackle Shaun Cody. He led all nose tackles with 48 tackles last season.

A Houston native, Mitchell was selected out of Arizona in the third round of the 2010 draft.
