— -- Who is the world's best women's mixed martial artist, regardless of weight class? My latest top 10 ranking is listed below.

In addition, here is my men's pound-for-pound ranking.

Note: Results through July 12.

Justino finally made her long-awaited UFC debut in May and she didn't disappoint, knocking out Leslie Smith in the first round of a 140-pound catchweight. Justino is as good as it gets in MMA; the trouble is finding opponents for her.

Coming off a convincing victory over Gadelha in July, Jedrzejczyk has now defeated her toughest rival twice. Recent history has taught us to be careful when it comes to proclaiming any UFC champion "unbeatable" but Jedrzejczyk looks pretty close to that at the moment.

3. Ronda Rousey
Record: 12-1
Div.: Bantamweight (UFC)
Last: L (KO2) Holly Holm, Nov. 14, 2015
Next: TBD

Rousey's curtain of invincibility was yanked open at UFC 193, and as a result, there are more questions than ever surrounding the former UFC champion. Was she exposed in a major way or was this simply a bad night coupled with poor preparation and personal distractions? Can she bounce back against an opponent who completely dismantled her? Everybody loves a comeback story.

Who in the world could have ever imagined Nunes would end up headlining UFC 200? She did and she took advantage of the spotlight, submitting Miesha Tate in the first round (after beating her up on the feet). Now she'll try to do something the two champions before her failed to do, defend the bantamweight title at least once.

5. Miesha Tate
Record: 18-6
Div.: Bantamweight (UFC)
? Last: L (SUB1) Amanda Nunes, July 9, 2016
Next: TBA

After working so hard to win the UFC title in March, Tate came up very short in her first attempt to defend it. As bad of a loss as it was at UFC 200, a quick regroup by the former champ could have her right back in title contention.

6. Holly Holm
Record: 10-1
Div.: Bantamweight (UFC)
? Last: L (Sub5) Miesha Tate, March 5, 2016
Next: UFC on Fox on July 23, vs. Valentina Shevchenko

The fight game giveth, the fight game taketh away. Holm was the darling of the sport following her shocking win over Rousey in November, but her title reign was short-lived as she lost to Tate her next time out. Now Holm is the one hunting down a rematch.

7. Claudia Gadelha
Record: 13-2
Div.: Strawweight (UFC)
? Last: L (UD) Joanna Jedrzejczyk, July 8, 2016
Next: TBD

Gadelha put up a good fight in her rematch against Jedrzejczyk in July, but things fell apart for her in the final two rounds. She's in that awkward spot of having two losses to the current champion of her weight class. She's clearly No. 2 ... and probably hoping another contender can knock off Jedrzejczyk and shake up the division.

8. Carla Esparza
Record: 11-3
Div.: Strawweight (UFC)
? Last: W (UD3) Juliana Lima, April 23, 2016
Next: TBD

After taking a full year off following an ugly loss to Jedrzejczyk in March 2015, Esparza got back to her winning ways by grinding away on Lima at UFC 197. Opponents know what's coming from Esparza, but still can't stop it.

9. Julianna Pena
Record: 8-2
Div.: Bantamweight (UFC)
? Last: W (UD3) Cat Zingano, July 9, 2016
Next: TBD

Pena is still putting things together, and she's only going to get better. It's a scary proposition considering she has already made her way onto this pound-for-pound list. She's still a little raw, but a win over Cat Zingano proves she's ready for all comers now. Bring them on.

10. Jessica Aguilar
Record: 19-6
Div.: Strawweight (UFC)
? Last: L (UD) Claudia Gadelha, Aug. 1, 2015
Next: TBD

Long considered the top strawweight in the world, Aguilar has lost that distinction since a loss in her UFC debut. She showed grit in that fight and figures to still have gas in the tank at 33, but she is facing a layoff after suffering an ACL tear.
