Ravens, Dallas to coach Pro Bowl

— -- The NFL, left in a lurch because of coaching moves, has turned to the Baltimore Ravens' coaching staff as replacements for the Pro Bowl.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed Tuesday that his staff will represent the AFC at the Pro Bowl, which will be held Jan. 25, in Glendale, Arizona. The Dallas Cowboys will represent the NFC.

"I polled our coaches to see how they felt about it, and they all were excited about coaching a Pro Bowl," Harbaugh said. "We'll look forward to doing that."

Harbaugh said he expects a competitive game for an event that has been scrutinized over the years.

"We're going to implore [our team] to play a little harder than the other guy," Harbaugh said. "I'm going to have a good halftime speech ready. We'll motivate them. You know there is a difference between the winning share and the losing share, right? That's a big motivator for anybody."

Coaches from the highest-seeded teams that lose in the AFC and NFC divisional playoff games are supposed to coach the Pro Bowl. However, those teams -- the Denver Broncos and the Cowboys -- introduced some drama into the process.

The Broncos parted ways with coach John Fox on Monday, and the team's assistants are looking for work. The Cowboys went into their offseason with several coaches working on expiring contracts.
