— -- Pittsburgh Panthers receiver  Tyler Boyd is reportedly facing charges of driving under the influence after being pulled over early Friday morning.

KDKA TV in Pittsburgh reported that Boyd was arrested after taking a breathalyzer test. The station cited police paperwork, which said Boyd told the officer who pulled him over he was drinking after the NBA Finals game between Cleveland and Golden State on Thursday night ended and that he "had two shots."

"Tyler's situation is both serious and disappointing," Pittsburgh coach Pat Narduzzi said in a statement. "We have high expectations for the young men in our program, on and off the field. Tyler understands that and knows he must be responsible for his actions. Certainly he will be held accountable to our internal standards of discipline and behavior."

Boyd, a potential first-round pick in 2016, was a first-team all-ACC selection last year after catching 78 passes for 1,261 yards and eight touchdowns. He was responsible for an FBS-high 52 percent of the Panthers' receiving yards, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

Boyd became the first player in ACC history to go over 1,000 yards receiving his freshman and sophomore seasons. He and Larry Fitzgerald (2002-03) are the only players in Pittsburgh history to achieve two 1,000-yard receiving seasons.
