— -- The NBA has named Richard Parsons the interim chief executive officer of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Parsons, the former chairman of Citigroup and former chairman and CEO of Time Warner, will oversee the day-to-day operations for the team. Parsons will fill in for former team president Andy Roeser. The NBA said Roeser would be taking an indefinite leave of absence

NBA commissioner Adam Silver banned longtime team owner Donald Sterling for life and fined him $2.5 million on April 29 for racist remarks that were published by TMZ. Last week, the league announced they would appoint a CEO that would take over day-to-day operations of the Clippers.
