The Hammer in Maize and Blue

Michigan with have home run king Hank Aaron as a guest captain for Saturday's game against Illinois.

Earlier this summer, Aaron spoke at a a Michigan satelite camp in Atlanta while Jim Harbaugh looked on in an Aaron jersey.

What a poser

Lamar Jackson is out there doing Lamar Jackson things.

Jackson, the Heisman front-runner, racked up for more touchdowns in the first half against NC State. The Cardinals' QB now has 30 total scores this season.

Is the ConFLiCT dead?

Last season, UConn coach Bob Diaco attempted to manufacture a rivalry with UCF that the Knights chose not to acknowledge. The two teams met again on Saturday, and UCF's? 24-16 win meant the Knights got to take home the trophy. Well, they didn't want it.

That has to be some kind of record

The assembled crowd at Sam Boyd Stadium for UNLV's game against Colorado State wasn't going to break any kind of attendance record. But it appears the record for world's largest Mariachi band was threatened, if not broken.

Uncle Verne in the house

Legendary broadcaster Verne Lundquist is retiring this year, so this is his final season calling college football. The long-time CBS play-by-play man joined forces with College GameDay to be the guest celebrity picker.
