Seahawks, Packers to play in opener

— -- The Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks will open the 2014-15 NFL season at home against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Sept. 4.

The NFL unveiled its schedule for the upcoming season Wednesday night.

Seattle will host the Denver Broncos in a Super Bowl rematch in Week 3.

The Seahawks will also travel to San Francisco for a Thanksgiving night game against the rival 49ers.

The schedule features rematches of five of the 11 playoff games from 2013-14, including both conference championship games and the Super Bowl. The Broncos play at the New England Patriots in Week 9.

The NFL will play three games in London this season -- Miami at Oakland at 1 p.m. ET on Sept. 28, Detroit at Atlanta at 9:30 a.m. ET on Oct. 26 and Dallas at Jacksonville at 1 p.m. ET on Nov. 9.
