— -- Because baseball relies so much on the hands -- gripping the ball, throwing the ball, catching the ball -- it doesn't have much in common with soccer, apart from 1-0 scores if Clayton Kershaw is pitching or the Padres are batting. But with the U.S. playing Belgium in the World Cup on Tuesday, here are my Top Five Soccer Moments in Baseball, listed in chronological order.

1. Reggie Jackson deflects ball with leg (Oct. 14, 1978)

2. Paul O'Neill kicks ball (July 5, 1989)

3. Jose Canseco heads ball over fence (May 26, 1993)

4. Lou Piniella kicks hat (June 2, 2007)

5. Derek Jeter 'flops' (Sept. 15, 2010)
