Stars Rich Peverley collapses

— -- Rich Peverley of the Dallas Stars, who has a history with heart issues, was removed from the bench Monday night after collapsing and play was stopped in the first period of their game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The game was postponed after a roughly 15-minute delay while the Stars consulted with the NHL.

Peverley was taken to the hospital and according to the local TV broadcast was conscious upon his departure.
