Steve Kerr says Stephen Curry has 'slight chance' to play in Game 4
— -- Stephen Curry will not play in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Trail Blazers, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Friday during an interview with "The Dan Patrick Show."
Kerr also said that Curry, who has missed Golden State's past three playoff games because of a sprained knee, will have a "slight chance" to play in Game 4 on Monday.
"Maybe a slight chance [Curry will play] on Monday, if he gets great work in the next few days," Kerr said.
Golden State won the first two games of the series at home. Portland will host Game 3 on Saturday night.
"If he's ready to play, he'll play," Kerr said. "That's based on what the trainers tell me, and what we see with our own eyes in practice. He hasn't practiced with us yet."
The Warriors have gone 5-1 in six games this postseason without Curry, who also missed three games in Golden State's first-round series with Houston. The Warriors eliminated the Rockets in five games.
"He's getting better every day," Kerr said. "But until he's out on the floor with our team and he's scrimmaging and we're seeing him move and our trainers say it's a go, we'll just keep doing what we're doing."
