— -- NEW YORK -- The start of Sunday's Stadium Series game between the New York Rangers and the New Jersey Devils was postponed because of the glare on the ice at Yankee Stadium.

The drop of the puck was pushed back from noon until 1:38 p.m.

Player safety appeared to be the primary concern for the delay.

The glare from the sun would also appear to make it difficult for Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, who will occupy the Southwest end of the ice, on the third-base side of the field, in the first and third periods.
