— -- Taysom Hill, the star quarterback for No. 18 BYU and a Heisman Trophy hopeful, suffered a left leg fracture during the team's game against Utah State on Friday night in Provo, Utah, school officials said.

Hill's left leg was rolled under by a tackler during a second-quarter run. He limped off the field before being carted off to the locker room.

Hill, a junior, had completed 8-of-11 passes for 99 yards and a touchdown, and had run seven times for 35 yards and a score, before departing.

The Cougars (4-0) trailed at the half, 28-14.
