(AP) -- Dustin Salisbery scored 14 consecutive points during Temple's game-ending 29-7 run as the Owls overcame a 10-point second-half deficit for a 61-49 win over Massachusetts on Wednesday night. Salisbery's 3-point basket with 5:38 to play gave Temple its first lead of the game, 49-47. He followed with another 3-pointer and a pair of 2-point field goals to give the Owls (5-5, 1-0 Atlantic 10) a 56-48 lead with 2:47 to play. Mardy Collins led the Owls with 18 points, followed by Salisbury with 14, Antywane Robinson with 13 and Mark Tyndale with 11. Rashaun Freeman, Art Bowers and Maurice Maxwell had eight points each to lead the Minutemen (6-5, 0-1). Temple hit just one of its first 23 shots and scored just two points in the first 10 minutes of the game as UMass pulled ahead by as many as nine points in the first half and took a 25-21 halftime lead. Temple shot 17.5 percent in the first half, and 50 percent in the second half. The Minutemen led 42-32 when Chris Chadwick hit a layup with 11:29 to play, then Temple started its game-ending run on Tyndale's jumper.
