— -- FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady hosted an 8-year-old girl who has been diagnosed with leukemia a second time during a visit to Gillette Stadium on Saturday before the team departed for its game against the New York Jets.

The visit, a Christmas wish, was chronicled on the Facebook page of the 8-year-old, Hailey Steward.

Part of the Facebook post is a video of Brady, inside the team's locker room, speaking to Hailey. That video was delivered to Hailey the day before Christmas to invite her to the stadium.

The visit took place Saturday, with Brady entering the team's media work room after the team's walkthrough practice, as Hailey was waiting for him.

Hailey was well dressed for the occasion, donning a blue Brady jersey and Patriots winter hat.

As part of her visit with her parents, she was given passes to the team's Hall of Fame and spent about 90 minutes there, where she enjoyed the exhibit in which she could pretend she was Super Bowl hero Malcolm Butler making an interception at the goal line.
