Cowboys Romp Over Jets

Tony Romo threw two more touchdown passes and the Dallas Cowboys improved to 10-and-1 by hammering the New York Jets, 34-3. Romo hit Terrell Owens for a 22-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to cap the scoring. It was Romo's 29th scoring throw of the season, tying a team record set by Danny White in 1983. Romo was 21-of-28 for 195 yards, including a 25-yard TD to Jason Witten. Marion Barber ran for 103 yards and had the Cowboys' first touchdown. Barber and Julius Jones combined for 167 yards on the ground, nearly topping the Jets' total yardage. Kellen Clemens threw for 142 yards and an interception that Terence Newman returned 50 yards for a touchdown. Newman put Dallas ahead 21-0 in the second quarter. The win keeps the Cowboys tied with Green Bay for the NFC lead heading into next Thursday's showdown in Dallas. The Jets are 2-and-9.
