A 20-foot-long crocodile with three sets of fangs roamed parts of northern Africa milions of years ago, researchers say. On Thursday, Paul Sereno of the University of Chicago and Hans Larsson of McGill University in Montreal reported their discovery at a news conference organized by the National Geographic Society, which sponsored the research. Here, Sereno, enveloped in the jaws of SuperCroc, holds the fossil head of DogCroc in his hand. DogCroc lived in the Sahara at the same time as the 8-ton SuperCroc.
