PHOTOS: Endeavour Lands Safely

This picture, from the shuttle's robot arm, shows the tile damage on Endeavour's underside, near the back of its right wing. The white spot is about three inches across. Engineers said the gouged-out spot was about an inch deep, reaching through the tile to the shuttle's aluminum skin beneath it. (NASA)
