Comet Lulin

Comet Lulin

If you peered into the sky very, very early this morning with a pair of binoculars, you might have seen Comet Lulin making its closest approach to Earth. The comet was discovered in July 2007 by a 19-year-old student at the Lulin Observatory in Taiwan. In this photo, Lulin is seen through the trees at the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia Monday night.
