Obama White House Promises Action after Polar Ice Melts

Scientists pored over satellite images today of the latest section of Antarctic ice to break up -- ice that the scientists said had been solid for 10,000 years. The Obama White House used the news to remind other countries it is committed to combating global climate change, though that may be hard to do during the current economic crisis.
