Over Memorial Day weekend this year, while she and her husband were out of town, Gneiding's neighbors called local police after a group of people parked in her driveway and set up coolers, ignoring the signs. According to accounts by neighbors who approached them, the group hurled insults before dumping trash onto the street.
"It makes me nervous. I've got three Labrador-mix puppies that have an outside pen and a pool in my backyard. I don't want a party back there," Gneiding said. "I mean, my dogs are my kids!"
Worried she would experience even more trouble during July 4 celebrations, and even out of desperation, Gneiding said she even made a sign on a sheet of plywood with the words "NOT Park Entrance… Private Driveway… Google Maps is wrong!"
