Francesca Eastwood is one of the co-stars of E! Entertainment's new cable reality series,Mrs. Eastwood and Co., about actor and director Clint Eastwood's large, extended family. Unlike her 82-year-old father, Francesca tweets, texts, blogs and hates going to the movies.
The 19-year-old actress, whose boyfriend, photographer Tyler Shields, is also on the show, was the subject of a heated Internet furor after she set fire to a $100,000 Hermes Birkin handbag on last week's episode. Shields, who took photos of the burning and posted pictures online, received nearly 700 comments on his website, tylershields.com, about the stunt, and responded by saying he would donate $100,000 to a needy family if the prints sell.
Blogging
Eastwood writes on Tumblr about fashion and her favorite scent (Candy by Prada) and skin cream (Quench). She recently started a WordPress blog as a travel journal and tweets as often as 10 times a day. On Mrs. Eastwood, "I tweet and blog, but I don't Skype. My 15-year-old sister, Morgan, does that. She's obsessed with video chat."
Favorite websites
Babe Walker ("It's so funny"), AstrologyZone ("She's always right"), and Sleepyti.me ("It tells you when you need to go to sleep so you wake up really rested. It really works.")
Movies
She lists her favorites on her Tumblr blog, including Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy with Will Ferrell, but doesn't include any of the more than 30 films directed by Clint Eastwood. "My favorites aren't his. I like comedies."
Watching movies
"I'm not patient enough to go to a movie theater, sit down and sit through the entire movie." She prefers watching on the computer, "where I can pause it and tweet."
Tweeting with Dad
"He doesn't tweet. He doesn't text. He's good with phone calls, and he has an iPad. He reads scripts on his iPad, and he loves his iPad."
A photographers muse
Posing for boyfriend Shields "is really sweet. I'm honored to be an inspiration for his art."
