April 7, 2011— -- YouTube is preparing for the rise of Internet-connected TVs. The video website is working on a major overhaul. The Wall Street Journal reports it will organize its videos around channels with topics such as arts and sports. YouTube is also planning to spend big on professionally produced original programming.

Tablet Sales

Apple appears to be light years ahead of the competition for tablet computers. The company reportedly sold 2.6 million iPad 2's in March and it's estimated to sell over 4 million per month for the rest of this year. In comparison, analysts are calling sales of Motorola's Xoom "disappointing", even before official figures are released.

Nuke Site App

There is a new app for people concerned about Japan's nuclear crisis. "Nuclear Site Locator" lets you enter any location in the US and it will tell you its proximity to nuclear power plants. The app costs two dollars and is available for both the iPhone and Android devices.
