June 29, 2007 — -- The iPhone is coming! The iPhone is coming!

We've all heard about the iPhone lines in New York and Los Angeles, where some coastdwellers have been waiting since Monday. But what about America's heartland? Are people lining up for the $600 super gadget there?

ABC News reached out and touched 15 random AT&T stores across the country -- from Hixson, Tenn., to Muncie, Ind., to Greendale, Wis., -- and found that they all had lines, with some potential patrons even sleeping over.

All, that is, except for one -- Oxford, Miss., -- where, if you hurry, you just might be first in line.

Here are the results:

HIXSON, TENN.

3:25 p.m.: Five people in line.

GARLAND, TEXAS

2:15 p.m.: 25 people in line.

OMAHA, NEB.

2 p.m.: 25 people in line.

GREENDALE, WIS.

2:10 p.m.: 18 people in line.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, ARK.

3:12 p.m.: 7 people in line.

MIDLAND, TEXAS

2:15 p.m.: 25-30 people in line.

MUNCIE, IND.

3:30 p.m.: 20 people in line.

ST. LOUIS, MO.

2 p.m.: 30 people in line

TULSA, OKLA.

2 p.m.: 20 people in line.

SPRINGFIELD, ILL.

2:07 p.m.: 14 people in line.

ROCHESTER, MINN.

2:25 p.m.: 25 people in line, one of them since 2:30 a.m.

BIRMINGHAM, MICH.

LINCOLN, NEB.

And the only store in the country that ABC News called with no line was in Oxford, Miss., -- right near Ole Miss.

OXFORD, MISS.
