Nov. 28, 2007— -- Court papers show the latest salvo in the bitter divorce of former Governor Jim McGreevey and his estranged wife concerns visitation.

A judge is expected to decide Thursday whether Jacqueline McGreevey can spend this weekend with the nation's first openly gay governor after attending her birthday party that he's planned for Saturday.

McGreevey booked ponies, hired face-painters and invited all the soon-to-be 6-year-old's classmates to the party at the Plainfield home he shares with his partner.

Dina Matos McGreevey doesn't want her daughter spending the entire weekend because it's not the former governor's turn to have the child. He had her over Thanksgiving.
