March 30, 2008 — -- Richard Widmark, 93 -- Actor who was a veteran of more than 70 films and whose career spanned five decades.

Hal Riney, 75 -- Legendary ad executive who worked on ad campaigns for Bartles & Jaymes wine coolers, Saturn cars and President Ronald Reagan's 1984 re-election.

William Hyland, 79 -- Shaped foreign policy while holding posts in the CIA, the White House and the State Department.

"I'd give the Reagan foreign policy a solid B. ... I would say for American foreign policy a B is something to be treasured."
