March 29, 2009 -- John Hope Franklin, 94 -- Historian and author. His research changed public thought about slavery and Reconstruction and helped the NAACP win Brown v. Board of Education.

Jack Dreyfus, 95 -- Mutual fund innovator.

Irving R. Levine, 86 -- TV journalism pioneer. He covered world affairs and economics for NBC News for 45 years.
