Gullfoss, Iceland: The havoc-wreaking volcano may have garnered Iceland some publicity, but cancelling thousands of flights is not all the country is known for. Iceland is also home to The Gullfoss, a pair of two, powerful cascades that often appear wrapped in rainbows when the sunlight hits the mist just right. Once threatened to become a hydroelectric plant, the Gullfoss is now a national park and a popular tourist destination.
