The latest trend in travel seems to be what are considered "boutique hotels." Luxury travel website Globorati.com lists nine of the best that have opened since Jan. 1, 2007, each with their own distinctive character.

Thailand's latest boutique address is Moo 2. Yes, that's the actual address for the Library, an ultraminimalist beachfront complex that features oceanview duplex cabins, a red swimming pool and, needless to say, a library. On an island that has morphed from backpacker getaway to international destination, the Library is Koh Samui's last word in low-key luxury.
