At Rayavadee in Krabi, Thailand, the resort takes guest for rides through the spectacular limestone formations that jut out of the Andaman Sea aboard a classic Siamese junk. The Pla Luang is one of the last survivors of a fleet once built by Chinese merchants. The junk was historically utilized for the ancient trade in mangrove-tree charcoal. Thanks to a rehabilitation, it now can cater full dinners, sunset cocktail cruises, snorkelling expeditions and even unique and romantic marriage proposals. (Courtesy Rayavadee)
