For one of the liveliest and longest-running St. Patrick's traditions, head to
Chicago where each year the city turns its river green. Arrive early to get the best spots for the downtown St. Patrick's Day Parade this Saturday. The celebration starts at 10:45 a.m. as the Chicago River is dyed with an environmentally-friendly green dye at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive, followed at noon by a parade through Grant Park.
