Jumbo Jet Performs Golden Gate Stunt

A spectacularly close flyover of the Golden Gate Bridge by a United Airlines 747 during a recent air show has some people questioning the decision, saying it conjures up memories of 9/11. Purists say it cheapens a military air show to have a private airline participate. Either way, the Oct. 9 flyover seemed routine enough to most spectators as part of San Francisco's Fleet Week.
