— -- The fashion faction will be out in full force Thursday as stores in NYC stay open late to toast the art of shopping. Fashion's Night Out the brainchild of Vogue magazine is a global shopping initiative to promote and celebrate all things fashion. More than 700 designers and retailers will keep their doors open until 11 p.m.

Stores are also upping the ante by offering shoppers special incentives: Think free T-shirts at Gucci, cosmetics giveaways at Saks Fifth Avenue, barbecue and Champagne at Tory Burch, runway lessons from Alexander Wang and a bar run by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen at Bergdorf Goodman. Several cities around the USA, including L.A. and D.C., are organizing their own extravaganzas the same night.
