US Soccer Team Uses TV Producer's Inspirational Quote in Locker Room
It was all the Americans needed to overcome Ghana 2-1.
— -- One lucky woman's tweet may have been what inspired the United States soccer team to victory against Ghana on Monday night at the World Cup.
Meghan Brennan, a digital producer at ABC affiliate WXYZ, tweeted out an inspirational quote after the U.S. Soccer Team took to Twitter a few weeks ago in search for a quote to put on the locker room wall in Natal.
The quote read: "WE CAN. WE WILL. WE ARE ONE NATION. ONE TEAM."

Brennan’s Twitter feed blew up after U.S. Soccer posted the quote on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Brennan said she was shocked when she learned her quote had been picked.
"I really just tweeted it out in a busy newsroom," Brennan said.
This was all part of the “One Nation. One Team.” social media campaign launched by U.S. Soccer. The organization gathers inspirational quotes and messages of encouragement across all social media platforms and display them to the team in unique and behind-the-scene locations, according to U.S. Soccer.
The messages have been printed and placed in key locations during the team's training camp at Stanford University, on stadium walls at each of the three Send-Off Series matches, and the Fan Appreciation Day in New York.
They will continue to be placed in Brazil at the team's hotel and training facility in Sao Paulo. Fans can tweet out messages with the hashtag #1N1T and U.S. Soccer's social media team will monitor and pick out the best quote.
"I am flying to Brazil this Friday with my friends," Brennan said. "We will be watching the game against Germany in the stands."
"This just makes me even more excited," she added.
A message was placed in the Stanford University locker room on May 17. It read: "We support because we believe. @AMERICANOUTLAWS."
A message was featured on ESPN 30 for 30 on May 22. It read: “50 Stars, 13 Stripes, 1 Heartbeat. Leave it all on the pitch.” Soccer fan, Jason Woodall, wrote this message.
A long message which read "313,900,000 dreams. 238 years. 50 states. 23 men.1 Nation. 1 Team." was taped outside the fences of the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. on June 1.
A large poster hung outside the EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Fla. read: "You men of the U.S. National Team are creating dreams that so many kids and young adults will aspire to achieve. Play with courage. Represent with pride." The message was from retired Sergeant Margeux Mange.
