Man Wanted for Questioning in Triple Homicide Surrenders

Amber Alert was issued in several states for suspect in murder of 4-month-old.

July 14, 2011— -- A man wanted for questioning in a triple homicide and who is believed to have kidnapped his girlfriend and their 4-month-old son has surrendered, authorities said.

Matthew Slocum released Loretta Colegrover, 25, and their infant Raymond Slocum following negotiations with police, according to ABC News affiliate WCVB.

Earlier, an Amber Alert was issued for Raymond Slocum in New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut, WCVB reported.

Three people were found dead early today in a house fire in White Creek, N.Y. The victims were Dan Harrington, a deputy highway superintendant, his son and his wife Lisa Harrington, who was Slocum's mother.

Police had said Slocum was traveling in a black 2003 Ford Mustang. The three were last seen driving on North Street in Adams, Mass. Connecticut State Police think Slocum may have been spotted near New Haven, Conn., this afternoon.

Slocum, who is a parolee, has a lengthy police record and served a prison sentence for grand larceny between 2006 and 2010, according to Glens Falls Post-Star.

Slocum has swastika tattoos on his arms and was last seen wearing a black skull and bones t-shirt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
