Dec. 17, 2013— -- In tonight's "What Would You Do?" episode, two of our actors portray little entrepreneurs who have a hot cocoa stand in Dearborn Market in Holmdel, N. J. Their sign says that the proceeds will go to children in need, but instead it's going into the pockets of these little swindlers. If you want to help real children in need, take a look at our list of suggested charities.

Save The Children: Save the Children gives children in the United States and around the world what every child deserves -- a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm, especially when disaster strikes. In 2012, the top two issues that Save the Children helped the most were Emergencies and Health & Nutrition. For more information, visit their website HERE.

CEDARS -- Helping Kids in Crisis. Building Strong Families: For nearly seven decades, thousands of vulnerable children and youth have found safe refuge and a new beginning at CEDARS. Marine Toys for Tots Foundation: The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. Their primary goal is to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. Family Giving Tree: The Family Giving Tree fulfills the exact holiday wish and provides backpacks filled with school supplies to those children in the most need in our communities while inspiring the values of kindness, philanthropy and volunteerism. In the 23rd year of the program's existence, the total number of gifts and backpacks donated had grown to over 900,000, making the Family Giving Tree the largest gift and backpack donation program in California.
