— -- Two people were detained after a shooting near the San Francisco Pride celebrations injured a spectator.

The shooting happened about 6 p.m. local time when police were investigating reports of shots fired in the vicinity of United Nations Plaza, near the city's Pride festivities, said San Francisco police spokesperson Carlos Manfredi.

Manfredi said several men were arguing when one pulled out a gun and began firing. A bullet hit a 64-year-old man at the Pride celebrations and he was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Manfredi said the shooting was unrelated to the Pride celebrations.
