Handguns, Badge Stolen From FBI Vehicle in Sacramento

The agency is offering a $5,000 reward.

— -- The Sacramento division of the FBI is trying to find those who stole several handguns and a badge from an agency vehicle Friday.

In a statement, the FBI said the items were stolen early Friday morning from an vehicle that was parked in a residential neighborhood in Benicia, California. The stolen items include three handguns, an FBI badge and credentials.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the thieves, said the agency.

The FBI also said it was working with the Benicia Police Department, the California Highway Patrol, the Bureau of Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and other local law enforcement agencies in the matter.
