March 29, 2013— -- Bruce Stimon is serving a seven-year sentence for posting a sex tape of his ex-girlfriend, Soraida Hicks, and advertising her as an escort. He also sent the video to her daughter and posted the daughter's name online.

Soraida Hicks, 32, did not know Stimon was married when he harassed her.

Now, Stimon's wife of 22 years, Kathleen Stimon, a school librarian, is breaking her silence to say he also cyber harassed her. In a recent interview with "20/20" near her home in New Hampshire, she said Stimon inflicted harm on his own family, which also includes their 13-year-old son.

"I think throughout this whole thing it really has never been apparent that Bruce had a family," Kathleen Stimon said. "There was never [an] indication that he was a married man with a child, and I just felt that it was time for me to tell my side of the story."

In the fall of 2011, Bruce Stimon met Soraida Hicks on a flight from Boston to Washington, D.C. They began a relationship, during which he traveled frequently from New Hampshire to Virginia to see her. The romance fizzled, and, police say, he cyber harassed her, posting fake profiles of her on escort websites and posting a sex tape of the two them that she never knew existed, among other acts.

Kathleen Stimon said that during those months, she had no idea what her husband was doing on those business trips to Washington. As the case unfolded, she was horrified, she said.

"The things he did to her, hour and hours of plotting and planning, were very devious, very ugly," she said. "And when you involve somebody's child, I mean, it's the lowest thing you do. It's just despicable."

After she learned of her husband's conviction and the affair that preceded it, Kathleen Stimon got a surprising request during a phone call with Stimon, then in prison.

"He was looking for me to help him. He needed money, he needed a lawyer," she said. "I told him I didn't think I could be married to him anymore, that I wanted a divorce."

She said her husband began to terrorize her, and in ways similar to what he had done to Hicks.

"He shut off the utilities going in our house ... my house, and our child's house," she said. "He took over anything he could online ... my Facebook, my eBay, my PayPal. I thought I was safe because he was in prison. I didn't think he was capable of doing anything during that time."

She would soon be left with yet another unwanted surprise: around $50,000 in bills for charges including travel to see Hicks and gifts he gave Hicks during their romance -- flowers, chocolates, lingerie and an iPhone he used to track Soraida Hicks' every move.

"I think he appeared to have money ... and she went for it," Kathleen Stimon said, "and what she found herself was 'crazy'!"

Stimon described the effect the sex tape had on her.

"It's unfortunately very common, I guess, for a spouse to have an extramarital affair," she said. "But to actually see it, you know, watch a video of him with another woman was very painful."

Bruce Stimon's attorney has not responded to emails seeking comment.

For her part, Soraida Hicks still feels haunted and afraid, she told "20/20."

"I'm afraid that he's going to pay someone to kill me," Hicks said, crying.
