Miami nun dressed in full habit chain-saws through downed trees after Irma

— -- After Hurricane Irma came the roar of Sister Margaret Ann's higher-powered chain saw.

For three hours on Tuesday, Margaret Ann, who is the principal of the Roman Catholic Archbishop Coleman F. Carroll High School in Miami's Hammocks neighborhood, wielded a red chain saw to trim and hack branches from fallen trees while dressed in a full habit.

Her efforts, according to her colleague Sister Immaculata, were to help clear the road so cars could avoid crashes.

"She's the kind of person that leads by example and is the first one to serve," Immaculata told ABC News.

Margaret Ann's timber slicing was recorded on video by an off-duty Miami-Dade County police officer. The police department posted the video on its social media pages and praised her "acts of kindness" and for "working together to get through this."
