— -- Michael Brown's mother took a photo with some of those closest to her in the moments before she learned that a St. Louis grand jury decided not to indict police officer Darren Wilson for fatally shooting her son.

Lesley McSpadden is seen standing shoulder to shoulder with two unidentified men, both wearing t-shirts with Michael's picture printed on them, and Benjamin Crump, one of the attorneys hired to represent Michael Brown's family.

Moments after the photo was taken, McSpadden ran out of the room in tears having learned that Wilson will not be indicted on any criminal charges relating to the Aug. 9 shooting.

"We are profoundly disappointed that the killer of our child will not face the consequence of his actions," the family said in a statement released shortly after the decision was announced.

They went on to reiterate their earlier calls that any protests remain peaceful.
