Lives Lost at Va. Tech -- Portraits of Grief

Freshman Mary Karen Read, 19, was killed during French class in room 211 of Norris Hall, where many were slain on the campus. Read was born in South Korea into an Air Force family, and lived in Texas and California before settling in the suburb of Anannandale, Va. According to her aunt, Read considered a number of schools before choosing Virginia Tech, which was a popular choice among her classmates. (ABC)
