"I just want to get home and sleep in my own bed and have climate control and lights," newlywed Rob Mowlam told ABCNews.com from the ship where a mass of people were crowded around a generator to charge their phones. "I will probably flush the toilet 10 times just because I can."

Mowlam, 37, and Stephanie Stevenson, 27, of Nederland, Texas, got married on the ship on Friday, Feb 8.

quicklist: 2title: 'They Had Plans Together and Oscar Was Happier in His Private Life Than He Had Been for a Long Time.'text: Oscar Pistorius is "numb with shock as well as grief" his uncle told reporters Saturday as the Olympian amputee spent his second night behind bars in a South African jail for allegedly murdering his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

"All of us saw at firsthand how close [Steenkamp] had become to Oscar during that time and how happy they were. They had plans together and Oscar was happier in his private life than he had been for a long time," Pistorius' uncle Arnold Pistorius said.

The 26-year-old athlete, known as the "blade runner" because of the carbon-fiber blades he runs on, was charged Friday with premeditated murder.

Pistorius' family is "battling to come to terms with Oscar being charged with murder," Arnold Pistorius said, and they still believe "there is no substance to the allegation."

Oscar Pistorius is suspected of shooting Steenkamp, 29, four times with a handgun early Thursday morning at his home in a gated community in Pretoria.

quicklist: 3title: 'We're in Rather New Territory So We're Going to Have to See If They Bestow Him a Title or If He Even Has One.'text: Many people spend their retirement playing bingo or filling their spare time with favorite hobbies.

When U.S. presidents leave office, they do charity work and oversee the building of their presidential libraries.

For Pope Benedict XVI, the first pope to resign in 600 years, there is no precedent as to how he'll spend his retirement -- or even what title he'll have.

"We're in rather new territory, so we're going to have to see if they bestow him a title or if he even has one," said Matthew Bunson, general editor of the Catholic Almanac and author of "We Have a Pope! Benedict XVI."

quicklist: 4title: 'In A Moment There Came a Flash.'text: More than 1,200 people were injured when a massive meteor broke apart above the Russian city of Chelyabinsk Friday, raining burning bits of rock over the city that shattered windows and caused a panic.

The injured includes at least 204 children. Early figures indicated that 30 adults and 13 children were taken to hospitals, authorities told the Russian news agency Interfax. Two were reported to be in serious condition.

Witnesses said they thought a war had broken out.

Dashboard cameras captured a blinding flash of light streaking across the sky. The streaking meteor fragments triggered sonic booms and their impact set off car alarms and exploded windows. The wall of a zinc factory collapsed.

"I saw a body moving in the skies. In a moment there came a flash -- we first thought it was fireworks but a moment later we saw a trace as if from the rocket followed by an explosion in a couple of minutes. The window broke ... tea, bread, water -- everything fell on the floor," one restaurant waiter in Chelyabinsk said.

quicklist: 5title: 'They Deserve a Vote.'text: President Barack Obama used his State of the Union address on Tuesday to call for new programs to bolster the middle class and create jobs while pressuring Congress to pass key items of his ambitious second-term agenda.

But the most powerful moment of the speech came when Obama implored lawmakers to take up "common sense" gun-control measures like expanded background checks and a ban on high-powered "assault weapons" and high-capacity magazines.

"Each of these proposals deserves a vote in Congress. If you want to vote no, that's your choice. But these proposals deserve a vote," the president said. "Because in the two months since Newtown, more than a thousand birthdays, graduations, and anniversaries have been stolen from our lives by a bullet from a gun."

Obama made these comments with nearly four dozen victims of gun violence and their families in attendance, including former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., and her husband Mark Kelly. In response, scores of lawmakers rose to their feet during a crescendo of applause.

"They deserve a vote. They deserve a vote. They deserve a vote," Obama said.
