Rape Suspect's Girlfriends Allegedly Break Into Home of Witness Set to Testify

Police said women had knives and stun gun.

— -- Two Utah women are accused of allegedly breaking into a home armed with knives and stun guns in an attempt to tamper with a witness who is scheduled to testify against a man involved with both of the suspects.

Police said the witness living at the home in West Jordan, Utah, is a female minor, who is scheduled to testify against her uncle in a sexual assault case.

Police told ABC News the women said they were both girlfriends of the witness' uncle.

Police said the two suspects, aged 18 and 22, were wearing all black when they broke into the home early Friday morning. They were both quickly subdued by adults in the home, police said.

The two, whose identities were not released because of the connection to a rape case, have been booked on several felony charges including aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and witness tampering, police said.
