Ray Manzarek has died of cancer in Germany.

Lou Meyers, the character actor who is best known for playing the feisty restaurant owner Mr. Vernon Gaines in the hit 1980s sitcom "A Different World," died at age 76 on Feb. 19, 2013. A spokeswoman for his non-profit organization told The Associated Press that Myers had been in and out of the hospital since Christmas 2012 and had collapsed recently. (Brad Barket/Getty Images)
