In 1981 diver Bruce Kimball survived a car accident involving a drunk driver. He won a silver medal in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. According to the AP, in 1988, in Florida, Kimball pleaded guilty to two counts of drunk driving and manslaughter after a car accident in which he killed two teenagers and injured several others.
