Ray Manzarek has died of cancer in Germany.

Legendary pianist Van Cliburn died of bone cancer at age 78 on Feb. 27, 2013. Cliburn rocketed to fame at age 23 after winning the inaugural Tchaikovsky competition in Moscow at the height of the cold war in 1958. But he never lived up to his full promise, retiring from the concert stage in 1978 and returning in 1989, though rarely performing. (Sergey Ponomarev/AP Photo)
