New York Declares Weather Emergency as Winter Storm Heads North

New York City has declared a weather emergency as the winter storm that grounded travelers and created icy roads across the South barreled into the Northeast. According to FlightAware.com, 2,496 flights have been cancelled across the country today, on top of the more than 2,500 that were cancelled Monday due to weather.
