Gunman Opens Fire in Dallas Office

One man is dead after a gunman shot him and then turned the gun on himself during an apparent dispute in a Dallas law office.

The shooting took place in a multistory building three miles north of downtown Dallas.

Dallas Police Lt. David Payne said the shooting apparently involved a property dispute.

Payne says the two men were meeting with an attorney, when one of the men pulled a pistol, shot the other man, then fatally shot himself.

Nobody else was hurt.

The wounded man has been transported to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, in undetermined condition.

Payne says employees of the law office scrambled to get away when the gunfire broke out. Some hid in a bathroom.
